Gone with the wind is truly a part of my soul. The book is so detailed and interesting. It makes you mad because it doesn't go the way it's supposed to be. I think Margaret Mitchell, the writer, was a genus. Also it is the only movie I have watched it many times. I absolutely adore it and all characters in it.

Scarlet is such a wonderful character, she is stubborn and selfish .if watched the movie, you wouldn't forget her sharp green eyes. Although she is so materialist, sentimental and egotist, who always want the best for herself, you appreciate her braveness until the end of the movie. Especially I love this statement from her:' I think about it later, tomorrow is another day." I think all of us experience this feeling when we sure that nothing will go back to the way it was, but I like her action in this situations.

Melanie, on the other hand is modest, kind and virtuous. She loves her husband and her life faithfully and she devoted her life helping others.

In addition to strength of characters in movie, there are memorable scenes like the burning of Atlanta that has made the movie a historical one.

Gone with the wind has won ten academic award and the world-wide sales. I read it somewhere that: ' critics will over have to grapple with the problem of why Margaret Mitchell's novel has reminded so readable and so important to so many people?"
